I planted hyacinth and crocus bulbs and a few of the hyacinths are poking through but the crocus are nowhere to be seen yet.

We are now getting 40 mins of daylight a week more than we were getting in mid December; come mid February and it will be nearly two hours more. If temps stay mild(ish) we could be in for a glorious Spring.

Yes it's getting lighter my bulbs are only just showing through

I was a bit worried about the crocus bulbs but thinking about it, I always remember getting home from the hospital with newborn Tom and noticing them coming through and that was mid-Feb so maybe they'll be a couple of weeks yet.

Ours are poking through, and the snowdrops are just coming out
The crocuses vary quite a bit, some flower early Feb, others not till March.

It's been very wet, but until the last couple of days very warm indeed!

Piddling down here but the almond blossom has been out for about a week or so - looks lovely in the fields. All fluffy pink and white trees
