Morning everyone

Grey and coolish here, but a very pleasant walk down to the village and back already :D

Safe journey Kate and M and a very Happy Birthday to your OH Lissie xx I'll have to agree with him, medicinal red wine, good for you it is :D

Making a proper goulash later, just beed to have breakfast and shower first - in the reverse order.

Hope you all have a good day, whatever the weather is chucking at you

Good afternoon all :) It's bright and sunny here after a very foggy start. It feels quite a bit colder though today, it was a chilly walk with Billy this morning.

I went to the gym first thing and I've got some housework to do, and I want to get a cake baked too. The washing's out on the line but I'm keeping an eye out of the window as the afternoon goes on as rain is forecast for later.

Have a good day everyone :D

Good afternoon all.

It's been a nasty morning here, with fog and ice, but it's brightening up now,
so I'll be off for a walk with Prince soon.

Hope you all have a happy day.

Tell you what, that Doctor Foster wasn't daft!!!! :P  ;)   However.............*drum roll*......................the sun came out :!: and I walked down into town with Mick as far as the station so he could catch his train to Cardiff, and went to the town Sainsbury's for the few bits we needed. Tell you what I spend a lot less on food when it's just the two of us!!

Our nice NDN walked down to town with us - she was coming out of her house to walk to her work in town as we left - and the poor lady has both parents in hossie at the moment. Her dad had a massive stroke before Christmas, and now her mum has collapsed and is in a different hospital in Cheltenham! She's run ragged trying to visit both daily (she doesn't drive), work part time and look for a care home for her dad who will be too poorly to live at home any more :( Can I ask for vibes for S's parents? She is such a nice person, and I know how it is to have both parents ailing at once................... :? :(

Di, in Sainsbury's they had half price free range fresh chickens (bought one for the freezer) and half price own brand pork sausages! All marked down for their sell-by but still perfectly 'freezable' 8-) :D I also got a lovely hand held electric beater for a fiver - less than half price - for small jobs that don't merit getting the big food processor/mixer out :D :D Well pleased with myself, I was 8-) I also went for a cuppa and a toasted teacake for my lunch, to celebrate sticking to my fast day yesterday 8-) :D Only scraped with butter though, not slathered on like I would usually :?

Vibes for S's parents Kaz.

I am truly rubbish at shopping.

I went into Mercadona earlier with Don and spied a nice big fat cauliflower. :D

I took it to the scales, pressed the number for the appropriate fruit or vegetable and a wee sticker came out that stated the weight and price.

Don was in stitches laughing at me - I just stuck the sticker straight onto the colly.

How was I supposed to know I should be putting it into a clear plastic bag first? :?

But Ally, you're being green and thinking of the environment by not putting it into a bag ;)

THAT is what I said!!

And I was double green as I didn't put on a pair of plastic gloves either - what was the point as I knew which cauliflower I wanted.
