Happy days - and not so happy nights - spent with those blasted rollers in. I remember them well Saundra :(

My nan always used to put those things in my hair - to make me look pretty (never worked  ) and I suffered them for years

I remember my sister's Carmen rollers, the clips to hold them onto the hair all had different coloured ends if I remember correctly.

She never used to allow me to have them in my hair. Cinderella here had to make do with rags to make her hair curly :P

I had heated rollers for years and years. My problem was always that I had such a lot of fine hair, and it was very curly, tending to frizz.
The rollers made a lovely difference, they smoothed it and made it big curls/waves instead of all little curls/ringlets :D
Sadly now it's so much thinner, I can't grow it enough to need them - I gave them to the charity shop quite a while ago :)

Jo I remember my mum tying my sister's hair up in rags sometimes - there was no point doing mine, I need heat for my hair to take a curl. It is incredibly straight

Di your hair looks lovely in your new avatar piccie 8-)

I used to sleep in rollers years ago......many many years ago  Don't know how I did, I can't sleep now if the pillow isn't comfortable! Even the night before I got married, washed my hair, put in the rollers, did my nails and went off to bed.

Di I agree about your avatar photo, quite the best pic I've seen of you in years, you look gorgeous and I think so every time I see it xx

Thank you so much both of you, I needed a bit of a confidence boost and the lovely Bb managed to take a picture to give me one :)
I've had it cut since, not a lot but got rid of some straggly bits :)
