OH had his MRI scan after I left yesterday and it shows that he has had another stroke
He was dressed and had packed his case as the doctor had told him he could go home.
I tried to find someone to check this with but couldn't for ages.
Finally a nurse confirmed it and said someone would come and talk to us before we went.
Suddenly someone else appeared and said he was down for another test (a carotid artery Doppler)
before he went.
I said I would wait till 4.15 but as I don`t like driving in the dark would go and pick him up in
the morning.
One of our granddaughter`s turned up to see her granddad and Alyssa said she would wait with him
until he had his test.
Someone else came and said he wasn't having that test but they had changed it to one where they
inject dye and look at his brain in sections.
They said that they could send him home after by hospital transport but I said I would get him tomorrow
(I still wouldn't be surprised if he turns up later as they don`t seem to listen to you )
Alyssa has just phoned from her house to tell me she went down with him for the scan and came back with him
and saw him in bed. She tried to find someone to ask the results but couldn't.
He looked and felt quite well today so he must be home tomorrow I would think.
Alyssa said he looked out of place there as the others were so old and looked Ill (quite a compliment as he will
be 79 on Tuesday) She told him he was really handsome and not to forget she was 21 in May

Oh Lissie it drives you mad doesn't it, why can't they organise themselves so someone has overall knowledge of individual patients?!
Anyway, I hope the outcome of the test/s is ok, and really hope you get him home tomorrow, you'll both be much happier xx

Still not home--he had a brain scan last night and the doctor has
to look at it before he can go. The only trouble was that there was only
one doctor on duty and she didn't get round to him before I left
Will phone in the morning and try again.
He is quite happy in himself and the new man in the bed next to him was
a publican like him so they are chatting about the old days
