It sure does Kaz, but I suspect that whatever is done there will never be enough prospective adoptive parents. Perhaps not enough people are informed enough to even think about getting involved - a high-profile recruitment drive might not go amiss.

My ex B/Sil did fostering for a number of years. They once had a couple of young boys of about four and six and it broke their hearts when they had to be split up..... it almost sent Y into clinical depression. They also had a young girl not much older than their own daughter and the two were inseparable. When she had to go they really did think about adoption but eventually realised that it would be for the wrong reason - to get their daughter a sister.

Debih, I thought that the boys in the prog had a clean bill of mental health, or was that just what I wanted to believe?

The programme quite rightly didn't go into too much detail about any of the children's backgrounds.

The foster mum did say that they didn't appear to have any learning difficulties.

It is hear wrenching.

Each month we get a list of all the children who are 'freed' with updates on if there is any interest in them. It's heartbreaking when you see some of them on the list month after month. The older they are the more likely they are to be taken off the register and placed with long term careers.

It was nice to hear that the event had been a success for over 40 of the 250 children that were at the evens.

There are parts of it that are very upsetting. The reports on the children.

But I find it really rewarding. It's great to know that so e of them do go to lovely families.

We had 4 couples to approve today and two couples to match with children. :D

It must be such a great feeling to know you've helped match children with parents and bring such happiness to some people.

I take my hat off to you too Debih. x
