It's also saved quite a bit of money too, much cheaper to condense to one provider we've found.

Yes I believe that's true. Might have to make some phone calls....

I'm always scared to change BB provider however as I don't want to be without t'internet!! I am also thinking that iplayer is available through the telly? I watch it on the laptop atm if I miss something worth watching :)

We changed to Talktalk last year, we were without internet for all of about 6 minutes ;)
If you go to the MSE site it has comparisons of the best deals plus customer service reviews :)

You can get iPlayer through the Sky HD box by pressing the red On Demand button. If your TV is a Smart one though you should be able to watch it through your telly anyway though as long as your TV is hooked up to the internet.

We'd been with Virgin for years and years, coming up for 12 years I think, and I'd always been put off changing because a friend was offline for a couple of months a few years ago when a switch went very wrong for her. You always remember the horror stories though don't you!

Have just upgraded my computer and now have W8.1 as well as a new motherboard, increased RAM etc. Am still getting used to it but it is much quicker to load and use.
Am thinking of changing my ISP. Am with TT on a monthly rolling contract> I can get cable but will see what is on offer as I am not really interested in sport.

Ah but atm we don't have HD, LOL!! My friend said I didn't need to pay the extra £10 a month with Sky as some channels are HD anyway....so I tried, but of course she has the HD box and we don't - doh!!

I am with TalkTalk for my BB and phone as I said, I have a feeling I am tied into a contract with them atm, but have just had a look at this

https://sales.talktalk.co.uk/product/tv/plustv#

Might be worth going with them for TV as well? I can't find any prices on the Sky website and don't know what I'm looking for on the MSE site  (you will need to click on the link "See how we compare" to find the comparisons I mean)

Is the On Demand button/option not on a normal Sky+ box then?

Check and see, I think what it does is download the shows to your Sky box so I don't see why it'd have to be a HD box to do that. 4OD and the otehr catch up services are on there.
When you have the TV Guide screen on, there's a red circle at the bottom left which says On Demand next to it.

And there's the rub - don't you need your sky box hooked up to the internet or something?

Mine isn't :)

ETA - Just had a look and the red button says Anytime. Clicked it and a list of programmes showed up, most of which are on Movies (which we don't subscribe to anyway).
