Hello

Postby kaywivane » 15 Jan 2014, 11:33

Not sure if any of you remember me. I haven't visited for quite a while.
In April, I fell and fractured and displaced a bone in my elbow, which required surgery to pin it all back together. I have only just finished physio, and at the moment, I still cannot straighten my arm to full extent but have been told it could take up to a year to heal and even then, not 100%.
Anyway, whatever happens I will take whatever I can get.......I am still doing exercises and although things don't happen all the time, they are happening slowly but surely. At the beginning, I was unable to dress myself (you do not realise when you lose the use of one arm, what you cannot do) so hubby had to take over, even toilet duties which was impossible for me at that time(he must really love me to be able to do that!!)

Anyway, I hope you do remember me and I hope to be here a bit more in the future. ;)

Hi Kaye, nice to see you! What an awful thing to happen and as we get older, all these injuries take so much longer to get better. Glad to see that things are getting back to normal now for you though, hopefully 2014 will be a very good year for you :)

Hello Kaye, how lovely to see you again :D

What a rotten time you've been having :( I do know what it's kike, the shoulder surgery I had meant my right arm was completely out of action for a few weeks, then months of physio, etc...but it got there. Your injury sounds much worse tbh, I do hope it continues to improve x
