Sorry Kaz, missed this. Many vibes for Aunt Rose and a bit of info. My ex had her hip done last year and she is better now than she had been for the previous fifteen, or more.

My Mom had her's done when Joe was a baby - she said the timing was brilliant as she could get down on the floor and play with him but she couldn't with Tom when he was a baby. It really did give her a new lease of life, beforehand she couldn't go far but afterwards they were soon organising days out and holidays

Oh definitely! She's already had the flat adapted with a special chair and a raised seat for the loo - same as for Ossie's wife I'd imagine - and has been given a few gadgets to make things easier while she recovers. No bending for weeks allowed apparently......

My cousin is staying there for several days, then she has people coming in to help
