It is getting lighter Happy Birthday Lilly's Mum

It looks bright here but that isn't necessarily a good sign, often the weather does an about turn here late morning so it's hard to judge I'll be out for a walk later though, I'm determined to keep it up I want to waltz back into that doctor's surgery all skinny and blow his chubby little socks off

Some clouds about but no rain yet.
Going for an eye test this afternoon. Hopefully no problems. Have used the same optician for many years. He will only recommend a change of glasses if there is a big difference in the results.

Sun and clouds again today, but still warm. We sat outside in our t-shirts yesterday

We were planning on going out this morning - I can't seem to find couscous anywhere, apart from our local supermarket, and that's only sometimes but Tom has just sent a text and he's on his way, so that may be a walk later on

And a lovely sunny bright one it is too
It is lighter already isn't it Saundra, less than a month since the shortest day but it's noticeable

Bb's off out working soon, on a round trip but luckily nowhere too far.
Woke up to freshly baked bread this morning, the first since Christmas I think! We had various part-baked/fully-baked rolls & baguettes, and then a bargain loaf or two.
I've thawed some (bargain!) stewing lamb and am going to make a curry in the slow cooker

Eta - Morning Ton Would you by chance see bulghur wheat at all? We tend to use it instead of couscous but no idea if you'd get it any easier

Morning all - a beautiful glorious sunny morning and I agree, the mornings are getting just that bit lighter. Or it's the fact that the past few weeks have just been so horrid weather wise that that's what kept the mornings darker?

A normal work day for me as usual and then off to friends for dinner tonight - it's his birthday so she's invited a few people round for a surprise dinner

Good luck with the optician cruiser - hope there is no need for new glasses; they are stupid expensive!
Di, the bread and curry both sound delicious - I want to get some meat tomorrow to make something in the slow cooker on Sunday

Morning all. I'm sure I posted on here earlier!

Its really cold here today. I've nipped into town to go to the bank, library and post office and now I'm home about to potter about - though I think I might spend most of the day reading!

Di I bought loads of that part-baked bread for Christmas - we ate most of it but I sent Becky back with some of it You've reminded me I was going to make a beef casserole today - better go and get chopping!
