Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 05 Jan 2014, 07:16

Good morning.

I'm just sitting here watching the most glorious sunrise. 8-)

A walk for me after my cuppa. :D

Today at 5pm it's the 3 Kings Parade..a joyous time in town where floats are adorned with excited children who throw thousands of sweets out to the passers by. :D

The whole town seems to be out and the atmosphere is fantastic as the floats snake their way through the packed streets. :D

I'll be there with my usual carrier bag to be filled up from the flying sweets.

It's a lovely thing to watch and heralds tomorrow's Day of Kings Christmas celebrations.

We'll go for a few drinks and a bite to eat afterwards. :D

Enjoy the day.

Morning Ally, enjoy your day, it sounds like a lot of fun :) :)

We'll be having a quiet day after all that travelling yesterday - taking down the decorations I think will be the main event ;)

Have a nice peaceful day everyone :) xxxxx

Morning!

The parade sounds gorgeous.

I am frozen to the marrer here. We have had no heating at all since yesterday afternoon. The gas people have been 3 times and it has got a bit worse every time they came. They are due this afternoon. We are off to Aldi as soon as it opens as they have a fan heater on special offer and we are going to get a couple. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Have a lovely day.

Morning everyone

Gorgeous morning here 8-) :D :D :D so we'll be having a bbq later

That doesn't sound very good at all Rodo, I'll send you over a little ray of sunshine to sit over you both xx

Enjoy your day Ally, sounds great :D

We're off down to the car boot in the village later and we'll be sat in the sun having a few beers, watching the world go by :D :D This is one of the planned days for beer, the next isn't until 15th, when we're going out. But then again, I might need a large brandy next Thursday

Hope you all have a good day and the rain and wind has gone away xx

Morning all :D

Hope you get the heating fixed soon rodo.

Enjoy the parade Ally.

Almost finished packing, just a few last minute things to do. Also want to get the bath towels washed and dried so everything's nice and clean when we get back.

We're being picked up at 2 today and will be staying at an airport hotel tonight ready for our flight tomorrow morning at 10.30. It's an early check in so at least we get a good nights sleep before we set off.

I'll have my laptop but just incase the wifi is iffy in the apartment we'll also have the tablets so we can use them in the bar over the road if necessary.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
We have a brief respite Ton, sadly it hasn't gone yet, it's due back by lunchtime.

Ally that sounds lovely, even better with breakfast by the coast :D
Ton a beer in the sun then a bbq sounds about perfect :D
Rodo I do hope they get you fixed, it's no fun - emergency heater is a good idea, we don't have any.
Kaz we'll be doing the decorations too, I did make a small start yesterday.

It's Good News Day :D First, after a kip yesterday afternoon I felt fine and dandy and we went to Prezzo and used our final voucher :D
And secondly, I bought our first lottery ticket since the price went up, and we've won £25 :D :D :D
It's online, but I'm not leaving the money in, I've already transferred it to my bank a/c, I shall be spending it on something unnecessary :D :D :D

Oh and a Third - Bb's mum donated us 2 joints from a huge piece of beef she won, so we're having roast beef tonight :D
Enjoy your Sunday everyone :)

Good morning, all.

It was a bit cold this morning, dog-walking, and slippy underfoot, but the sun has come out now.

We are out shopping now. See you later.

Hope you all have a pleasant day.

Morning everybody.
Rodo, Hope you get your boiler fixed. We have two gas fires so that if the boiler breaks down we still have some heat and an immersion heater in the hot water tank. Talk about belt and braces.
We have an old boiler and the heating engineer says don't change it as it will last our life time. It has a cast iron burner, not like the modern ones which can fail after a few years and no modern electronics which can be very tempermental.
Have got the decorations down. Will put them up into the loft when I have had a coffee.
