Missions accomplished :D :D :D

We navigated our way around the roundabouts correctly - although a lot of people still aren't sure and I've never seen so many Portuguese drivers use their indicators    Sat outside a cafe in Faro and just watched the shenanigans

Appointment with the surgeon for next week :D should have gone yesterday apparently, as he was there and not busy  then paid the car tax - in and out in 5 minutes and it's only gone up to 55.31 for the year.

Shopping done and the sun is struggling to come out to play behind the clouds - but it's very warm :D

Happy Birthday Mrs E and hope Kaz is doing okay xx

Just heard from our Kaz, her ECG is normal so she's gone into town for a healthy breakfast and will be back with us later :D so relieved for her!

It was lovely and sunny while I was in the gym, I was in the changing rooms for 10 minutes and by the time I walked out it was really dark and started raining heavily. I was soaked by the time I'd got to Nationwide, which is all of a 3 minute walk away. 5 minutes later I walked out of there and back into bright sunshine!
I saw Looe on the BBC News this morning and that was flooded. The cameras were on the harbour, right by where friends of ours have a holiday home :?

Happy Birthday Mrs E!

Afternoon all. We've started the day with a blazing row so that's good!!!

I was up and out early - about 8am to go to the supermarket, call and see my mum and dad, pick up my adoption papers and nip to the local shopping outlet for a new bag.

I got home at about 10.15 and everyone was just sat in front of the tv - again! Its all the three of them seem to have done all holiday. I don't mind but Millie hadn't been walked, there was a pile of breakfast pots just dumped on the side and all the curtains were still drawn.

Its been eating at me for the last week - all Mick has done is watch crappy films all day. I know he's on holiday from work and all that - but so am I. Someone has still managed to do the washing, the tidying, the shopping and the cooking - and walk the dog. I think apart from L walking her yesterday I have taken her out every day. I gave up asking anyone else to do it as no one ever made a move. He finished on the Friday before Xmas and I had asked him to do two jobs at some point - fix S's blind and look at the sink in the girls bathroom as it seems very loose. So far, he has done neither and I know he is working tomorrow and off out with friends on Sunday. I refuse to mention it again.

So it has been brewing and brewing and this morning I erupted!

Anyway, I sent the girls off out swimming with their friends and Mick has stomped off out. I have just rung him to see if he was coming home for lunch and he is at B&Q buying plaster so he can plaster up the fireplace in the lounge. Now I'm no DIYer but as we aren't decorating the lounge until the spring because we are using the stove constantly I wouldn't have thought that now was the best time to be plastering up around the fireplace. But I will say nothing.

I am in the middle of ironing - it is lovely to have the house to myself for a while. Once that is finished I am going to make a beef stew for tomorrow and probably take the decorations in the dining room down. I am planning on taking the decorations off the tree in the lounge tomorrow so Mick can take the tree away when he gets home, giving me all day Sunday to clean.

No wonder you erupted Debih!!

Yes M is on holiday.

And yes, so are the girls.

But so are you!

They should all be washing up after themselves and not just leaving dishes in the sink.

Millie should be getting walked.

Jobs should be getting done.

And THEN they can sit and watch TV if that's what they want to do with their time.

Honestly Debih..if I was you I would be calling a family meeting, laying down a few facts and letting them all know they need to muck in and that I wasn't happy with things!

Ooo deb glad you got that off your chest - that's the sort of thing that really irks me too!! Like yesterday, I'd been looking after Lewis, after he'd gone home I drove to Asda (5 miles each way) got the groceries and petrol and when I got back I carried them all oout of the car, expecting Jen would help put them away as she was just sitting on her laptop, while I took the dog round the block - got back and she hadn't moved!! GRRRRR!!!

Well I'm back to wok - and what a baptism of fire it's been!!! There was no clinic this morning but I've already doen 2 varifocal dispenses, taken the Christmas tree down and sorted stuff out from yesterday, along with prepping clinic for tomorrow, and taking in the deliveries. I do have clinic this afternoon!!! I'm already in need of a lie down......also I had a dentist appt across the road from work, thought it was a checkup but she also did a scrape/polish....ouch!!!! :?

So glad Kaz ECG was ok!!! :D

Our weather here is bright sunshine and a strong wind, not too cold either...stay safe all of you with rain and gales xxx
