Morning all, pretty miserable here too but the rain is forecast to ease off. We were in bed by 11.30pm last night but I was still awake to see the New Year in at midnight. We are heading into town for a mooch around the sales, then if the rain does clear, there is an event on called the Big Brunch with live music, food stalls and apparently some tea dance-type dancing so we might wander across the Liffey to that. Enjoy your day everyone :D

We had a fab night with friends. Got home about 1am - and I was sober!!!! I decided to drink lager and only had three halves. Mick however was not and has kept me awake half the night with his snoring and going to the loo.

He's still in bed. I'm up, coffee'd and breakfasted and about to have a soak in the bath. No kids or dog to disturb me.

Off to mum and dads for lunch in a couple of hours.

Happy New Year everyone.

Morning all and a happy new year :D
What a rainy day! We will be listening to the concert from Vienna shortly. We always do that.
Roast beef for lunch :)
Mum and FiL will be going home tomorrow. As much as I love them I have found 10 days worth a little much ;)
Looking forward to having our house back to ourselves. Does that sound selfish?
Wishing everyone a good day xxx

morning all,

Well we stayed up until about 1230am and fell asleep quickly :) I woke up around 730ish, I have still got this strange head cold thing that just seems to make me feel rubbish first thing in the morning - been over a week now :( managed to get back to sleep and we woke at 1030.

We have had brekkie, beans on toast with some grated cheese melted on top :) and sitting having a coffee, no plans apart from watching dvd's/tv.

Steak pie for dinner tonight, not sure if its tradition everywhere but I know in Scotland most folk like to have a Steak Pie for NYD :D :D Got a lovely looking steak pie from Tesco, never seen them before, they are from a small company in Ayrshire, so I'm sure its going to be gorgeous!!

Hope you all have a good day
