I've just woken up!!!!!!

Need to pop into town on the way to take the girls and Millie to my mums.

Off out tonight - I really would much rather stay in.

Morning all :)

It's tipping down with rain here, hoping it clears up long enough for me to get from the hotel car park into the lobby without getting my hair wet

Hope you all have a lovely evening whatever your plans. We'll be dancing and drinking bubbly most of the evening followed by fireworks at midnight. Really looking forward to it :D :D :D

Wishing you all a Happy New Year :)

Morning, quite dark and rather dismal and rainy here.

Will be out tonight, but as mum doesn't feel up to going out to friends tonight I shall be going on my own and as I don't need to drive have ordered a taxi to take me there and back. Which means I can have a few drinks this year.

Kathy :)

Afternoon :)
Was out early for a Dr's appointment, I was ever so glad it was so early as I called in at Waitrose, which by the time I left was getting completely manic! They did us a huge favour as I hadn't planned anything special for dinner but they were just reducing stuff :D
So now we have a rather nice-looking pheasant wrapped with bacon, and some ready-prepared red cabbage :D
And got home to almost-cooked sausages sizzling :D

We've had some huge downpours already, and in between it's dark and dingy. Very fed up with all this wet :(
Have fun those of you going out - and those staying in as well :D

Di, if Billy had been a bit quicker off the mark over the common on Sunday we could've been having pheasant too  He was stalking through the grass alongside us, having obviously heard something, when suddenly a beautiful pheasant came flying out of there, right in front of us.

We've had heavy rain all morning (it coincided with me leaving the gym and walking over to the town centre) but now the sun's coming out so we'll visit my parents and then walk Billy. I need to do an early dinner today too as Tom's going out at 6pm and it'd be nice to have a meal altogether before he goes.

hi all ,

Well I was up early as usual, Amy slept until 10 :) we got ourselves ready and went down to the town centre for a wander, it started raining quite heavily. We have had lunch and Amy has gone to play with her friend a few doors down, so will probably not see her for a few hours.

I have tidied up and am chilling watching tv :D

Night in tonight, we are going to have a Chinese around 7pm and I have some little nibbles for later if we get peckish! Also bought a lovely steak pie yesterday which will be our New Years Day meal :D :D :D

have a good day folks

You need an indoor hobby too Kaz - a craft, maybe? Or tons of reading....I quite enjoy a day indoors myself :) I might have gone to town this morning, if only for a coffee in my fave coffee shop, but I am nursing Tegan and also I think the coffee shop in question is closed....also, Jen has been out socialising a lot/working this past few days and I've not spent a lot of time with her, so I am doing so now :)

I've ironed, put a towels wash on, and prepped some lamb for tonights' meal (it's in the slow cooker as I type) carpets need hoovering but that can wait

Taken Teegs for a couple of short walks - I realised yesterday that the weight I lost in the summer hasn't gone back on because I am now a dog walker!! :) I tend to go with T most evenings, we walk about a mile, quite briskly, and then last walk of the night is about another half mile :)

Having Lewis to sleep tomorrow night :)

Crafts are not for me, I am very un-nimble fingered  I don't mind a read though, so that's something for rainy days I guess, I certainly have enough on my kindle at the moment! ;) You are right about walking - I walk several miles, several times a week usually and really notice the difference when I don't

It suddenly stopped bucketing late morning, and Mick asked if I fancied a jaunt to Cheltenham (he finished the polar bear) so we did! It's a pleasant drive through the villages (nice views) then we parked up in the multi-storey and had a nice walk round town and a bite in the Bridge café, which is in a glass-sided bridge over one of the shopping roads round the back of the theatre :)

Not long been home - it made a nice change :)
