Wonderful Christmas.

Postby KateLMead » 28 Dec 2013, 08:11

Well it was worth all the hard work and preparation, every one ate well and relaxed.
Boxing Day and the 27thwas open house friends who I hadn't seen for almost a year turned up, my daughter Gus, a neighbour who was alone and depressed as her son had left, and my dear Marion who does for me once a week,
And has done so for over twenty years. Lots of laughter and fun with Oscar my dog.
And tucked into thick Turkey soup, salmon and soft cheese on rye bread, olives etc.,
Recipe read in the Mail!!however the biscuits went soft! No one complained!! :D :D
Stollen, mince pies, and we drank two of the four champagne bottles that were gifts from friends.
I could get a taste for it... :D lovely day lots of laughter. Into bed when everyone left. New year soon, have a great
Relaxing day everyone. :) :x

Kate,
You have had a great time. When I quickly read your post I thought you had said "stolen mince pies"
We had our son and family yesterday so we are relaxing today.
