Bamboo

Anybody any knowledge on these. I bought this in a tall glass vase about 8 years ago and although it has grown I think it may be outgrowing it's surroundings. It is indoors at the moment and not too sure of what to do with it. I don't have a garden as such as it is all flagged now but don't really want to part with it. Can post a picture if need to.

Yes it's 2 tall sticks where new leaves grow from it

If you want it outside, how about a big stone planter?

Kathy- I moved into a house once that had a large bamboo plant in the
garden, and I decided to remove it.

It was extremely difficult to get out. The roots were too hard to chop
with a spade - in fact they were almost as hard as bones. I certainly can't
recommend them. Maybe a good strong stone pot would be suitable if you
decide that you want to keep it.

and another here saying dont plant it in the ground. 2 generations ago someone planted bamboo at the batch. mum has since managed to remove it from the property, which used a lot of weed killer over 10+ years, but I noticed last week it has burrowed its way across the street and is now sprouting from the council owned bank.
