Well, a "scratch" meal for 4 - as I'm cooking it!

> Turkey crown (we'd asked for a dressing of bacon rashers, but the farm shop butchers forgot, no matter),
> Auntie Bessie Brussels sprouts, and duck-fat basted roasties,
> M&S pigs in blankets (32!!) and bread sauce tub (which can be microwaved)
> Sainsbury's pork, leek and cranberry stuffing balls (which won our "taste test" this year)
> Chicken Bisto gravy
> Onions, wot I am about to go and prepare

> Lidl's Christmas Pudding with extra-thick double cream and brandy

> bottle of Cava

Ossie that all sounds wonderful :D :D

I have cooked a large sirloin of beef today, some of which we had with salad and chips for our evening meal, and some to slice tomorrow. I have a huge turkey still defrosting, pigs in blankets in the fridge, lemon and herb stuffing............. we'll have roast spuds, sprouts, carrots, and yorkie puds with gravy made from the beef juices and red wine :) I only went and forgot the parsnips though   I hope nobody notices

Forgot to add:

> jar of Oceanspray cranberry sauce
> Sainsbury's sweet chestnuts, to be served straight from the tin! As a concession to Christmas, we've decorated the tin in foil, so at least it looks festive on the table!!

I don't know exactly what we are having.

We have booked a six-course Christmas Day lunch at a posh local hotel. :P :P :P :P

(Reminder: Mustn't forget the doggy bag.)

We usually do this at Christmas, as our kitchen is not big enough for two adults, a dog, and a turkey.
