I don't usually post on the morning thread because I don't have time, but just wanted to add some vibes for Kaz xxxx

Morning all. I'm running late - didn't wake up until 9.45am!!!!

Am in the middle of making the lasagne for tomorrow and then need to get on with the sausage rolls for Boxing Day. I really want to push the hoover round - once the presents are opened tomorrow I won't get chance for a few days until they are all moved!

Fire needs cleaning out too - that can wait until Mick gets back with the dog.

Off to my mum and dads for lunch - leaving in a couple of hours. Really must get a wriggle on.

Vibes for Kaz. xxxx

Morning all :)

Will keep fingers tightly crossed your son gets home to you safely kaz xxx

After all the dreadful wind and rain yesterday, really awful throughout the evening, we woke up to a bright sky and sunshine. Sods law really, yesterday I had to go out and today I'm staying indoors :?

Planning a really lazy day. Just a bit of tidying up to do and the last couple of pressies to wrap ready for mother tomorrow morning and that's it. The laziness will carry through to dinner, we're having M&S lasagne, focaccia to mop it up, all washed down with a bottle of bubbly. Oh and I might even stir myself to open a box of mince pies, no effort spared in this joint

Hope you all have a lovely day :)

Thank you SO much!!!! ((((((x))))))

Have just updated on another thread, the weather one I think - Chris's local train to Reading where he would pick up his connection from Paddington to Gloucester was cancelled. My wonderful husband has gone to collect him - I am so lucky to have Mick, he is a diamond xxxx

Good afternoon all! It's bright and sunny here, although still windy but I won't complain as it's drying the washing!

I've been to the gym and John's been for a bike ride, the sausage rolls and the ham have been cooked and I was going to hoover but Tom did it - without being asked! All that's left to do today is pop into my parents to pick up presents and then go to the pub!

Have a good day everyone!

I decided to try Waitrose about an hour ago and it was fine - space in the car park and no queues for the checkouts :)
So we do now have dolcelatte - and bearnaise sauce - and even the pork pie Bb particularly wanted, for Friday :)

Okay, how are we doing?
Pork & chorizo sausage rolls/wheels - done. Samples eaten, nice stash in freezer and batch ready to cook to take next door :D
Pastry tartlet cases for tonight & tomorrow - done :D
Cheese & onion crostini for tonight - done :D
Prawns & smoked salmon thawed and ready for tartlet cases/skewers :D

And Bb's presents finally wrapped  :x
Just having a cuppa; shower and dress next, then get the crostini, tartlets & skewers finished and cook the sausage rolls. Then next door for drinks :D :x :P

Do not forget to take the beef out of the freezer tonight   :x

Have decided not to go to the private party at the Capri - the last thing I want to do is infect everyone  8-)

So we're going to stay in and suck up hot toddies   :P

And have found a curry in the freezer, so that should sort us out.

The only problem is the rubbish on the tele :x
