Christmas cards

Postby Osc » 23 Dec 2013, 22:27

This year I cut right back on cards - overseas postage is now 90c and I would say 2/3rds of my list was to overseas. So if you sent me a card but I didn't send you one, it's not that I don't like you anymore, it just means I've given some money to charity instead! I felt that as I see so many of you on here and FB that you would not be offended, because I really wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and only the very best of good things for 2014. I love being part of VV and thoroughly enjoyed the Brum meet in the summer - I think it's time for a Dublin meet ;)

Osc that's a lovely post - and I wish you, MrO and your lovely daughter, son-in-law, and last but not least little Michael, the most amazing Christmas!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

PS Dublin would be fab, but we'd all need to save up! Maybe the 2015 one? :?

Totally understandable and a good decision Osc :D
We only send a couple overseas, but even so just to the UK is 50p 2nd class :?
Only 6 cards for three quid is beginning to get ridiculous isn't it :o

Dublin would be lovely depending on how the local airports do next year, they're cutting back and back

I did the same too - the local supermarkets had a charity day. You are given a carrier bag and asked to put in certain staple foods. So we did that.

I love Dublin - maybe if I win the lotto 8-)

Happy Christmas Osc and to your lovely family xx
