Yes, WM,
> 2 x "commodes", with holes in, that you're supposed to position over your own loo, one for upstairs (cannot be fitted), one for downstairs (does go in the downstairs loo, just),
> 1 x high washing stool that Mrs O was supposed to perch on for upstairs ablutions (too large for ensuite and slightly unstable),
> 2 x crutches and
> 2 x zimmer frames with wheels (Mrs O's preferred mode of transportation).
I realised straight away when I visited Mrs O in the afternoon that it wouldn't all go in our little town car, so requisitioned Master O and his Ford Focus that evening. Even then, we couldn't get it all in the back via the hatch, and the washing stool had to be shoe-horned into the front well.
So the Ostrich was peremptorily told by Master O that the bird would have to get the bus home, and the former drove off, leaving the Ostrich (who hadn't anticipated that turn of events) stranded without jacket or bus-pass (luckily it had a few pieces of eight), and a 15 minute wait for one of NX West Midlands' finest ......
Taking the zimmers to the car was fun. I was wheeling them with one hand while carrying the stool. Impossible to drive in a straight line down a long corridor. The fun was watching the "rabbit in the headlights" expression of nurses, orderlies and doctors coming the other way as an out-of-control Ostrich with zimmers hurtled from one side of the corrider to the other ....
