Tressy had hair that grew!!! 
Well really it was a topknot that came out of a hole in her head - you wound a key thing on her back, to make it longer or shorter 
I had many little cousins, I was othe oldest of all the grandchildren, and one of them wrenched her topknot out so she looked like a monk after that!
I think it was Debbie, she was the likeliest candidate for such a hideous crime - she lives in Sicily now with an Italian guy, so she's probably in the Mafia by now
