Good afternoon, friends.

It's actually not raining here and we have been a good walk.

The ground is still soaked and there are many pools where there shouldn't be.

We are having a quiet day for a change, getting ready for the big day.

Enjoy the day.

Ooh yes please Saundra, since it's cyber :)
Afternoon all :)
We're 'working' today too, some cleaning plus those silly jobs like washing glasses that haven't been used for a while, finding the Christmas placemats and teatowels...
And I'm going to brave the shops, but not if I can't park :D

Nearly sorted, we've got a curry for tomorrow night, and gorgeous looking fillet steak for Christmas day - then turkey and ham for after that :D
Hope you've got something to fight the lurgy Saundra.

Yummy Saundra can I have a square????? :D :) I love it..............

Aggers, our Peps finally got a decent walk today - it's been so very wet here all week she's only had short trots round the field opposite  It's lovely to see the sun today! :P

Dyed my hair, stripped the beds, hoovered, cleaned the en suite, tidied and cleaned Mick's study for Chris to sleep in there. Now having a well-earned cuppa and a shortbread finger before tackling the ironing. Then I'm making a spag bol for a late lunch, cleaning the oven, mopping the kitchen and utility floors, and hopefully that will be it  :P

Di I'm defrosting the turkey for the day, and a lovely piece of gammon which I'll cook tomorrow night for cold cuts whenever............I think we'll have sole for dinner tomorrow night - I have some lovely pieces in the freezer and I seem to be ok with sole - and will do mash and garden peas with it :D I also have a joint of topside in the freezer but have decided to keep that for New Year or maybe the weekend while my sister and family are here. I make my big trifle tomorrow, it we're lucky it might last until Boxing Day tea time

I've bought my mince pies, cake, and pudding this year although I did use to make my own :) I also peel my spuds and carrots on Christmas Eve to save me time in the morning.....I put a slice of bread on top of the water with the peeled spuds in and then replace the saucepan lid and they stay white - all you have to do then in the morning is change the water 8-)

Excellent - plus you will have cold meat left over to use :) :D I love cold turkey for sarnies or salads - or in a curry or stir fry :P
