I'm back - 5 and a half hours later....

Ferlipping hack, this hospital lark is a pest.

Got to the blood at 8.15, got seen about an hour later, got a plaster for a change.

Asked where the eye place was, went there. Took me ticket and saw the receptionist. Being a bright spark, I'd written it all out, just in case she didn't want to understand me, but no problems. The waiting list is

5 yes, five years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So she suggested I go to the emergency and see them,

So off we went and a very nice lady speaking almost perfect English told me to come back on Thursday when the eye man was there. So we have to get there at 8.00 and hopefully, he'll see us.

Then had a coffee, my first since yesterday and sat in the car for an hour, as it was warmer.

Went to gastro for my appointment at 11.40. Eventually saw the lovely Dr Paulo (who has lost weight and now looks even better ;) ) and a student. We discussed Gladys and all the other bits that need to be discussed, so I'm going to see the surgeon who did my original op.

Off I go to make that appointment, which is for 27 December - this year

Made it back to the car by half 12.

Then shopping, and I've just had a crust of the most scrummiest bread I've had for a long time - that was my brekkie.

Now going to sit in the sun with a beer and sod the diet.

I'll come back later when I'm calmer

Saundra, Gladys is fine, I just have to make the decision...

does she stay or does she go go

Cor, you can tell I've had a beer, can't you.

The sun was so hot, I took off my top layer :o

Yes, you can tell I've had a beer or three, I forgot

The 5 years is because he sees only 5 patients a day at the eye place, but the same guy is also at the emergency place twice a week.

Couldn't make it up, could you?

But this is Portugal, as we keep telling ourselves

I think, if the very nice Dr Gomes Ferreira says its okay (as he did the original op) that I will go for it

But I'm waiting for my daughter to say what she thinks too, and also a few friends from Engerland....who had to put up with me many years ago when the uc was being a pain in the bum, as t'were

Grumps says go for it :D

And at the moment, I think I might.

Tomorrow is another day :?

And also, takling to the lovely Dr Paulo, the help, advice and even support afterwards is completely non exsistant  as I know
