We bought our house here, in the very sunny, hot Algarve

so after we'd done all the bleaching and painting and sorting out manky clothes, we sat outside, in the sun, with a beer or three

Can't believe it's been that long since we bought the house - but loving every minute

Apart from the fact that we want to move to a smaller house, with more land.

We got the keys for our house in the same year then but on July 6th.

We only moved over 7 years ago Kaz, as "some-one" had to put a new roof on our old house, sort out the inside / outside loo and other wood worky stuff.

This from a carpenter.

It was only because I gave up work and got the removal firm, the estate agent and packed everything that we actually moved when we did - I think we'd still be there if it was left to Grumpy knickers

It will be our tenth anniversary here on 31st August next year.

We've been so happy here..I love it.

Congratulations Ton. We lived in Switzerland for 9 years before deciding to come back home

Gosh Loz that is quite a while Do you speak good German? I might need an interpreter when my German cousin and her family come to stay next August! Her English is pretty good but the family speak very little............
