Craig and Leilani are due to land at Heathrow at 9am so will now check their flight progress.

Morning all. A rather chilly start to the day.

I'm at work this morning - if I ever get myself moving. I'm still sat in my pj's at the moment.

Pottering around this afternoon at home and then a quick allotment meeting this evening to hand over all my stuff so I am no longer club secretary.

And I really MUST get my Christmas cards finished.

We're off down to the village to help put curtain poles up and other interesting stuff like that in our friends new apartment. Think I'll be people watching though, as she's right in the main square

Just typed a huge long post and then lost it as my net went off just as I submitted it

Dull and grey start here! Nothing much planned for today, apart from a bit of food shopping and the usual housework. Mick is off to Edinburgh tomorrow - it's supposedly a jolly, for his whole team for Christmas, but some bright spark thought it would be a good idea to get them all to Edinburgh (they are spread all over the UK) which for Mick entails picking up a hire car today, getting out of here at some daft small hour in the morning, getting to Heathrow for a 9.15 flight, having picked up a colleague in Chippenham en route!!! Then back on Wednesday

None of them really fancy the travelling, why they couldn't all have just met up for a meal somewhere central like Birmingham or even London I don't know Or at least if they are dragging them to Scotland they could at least have invited the other halves

Mick really doesn't want to go, he has a ton of work on at the moment which will still have to be done when he gets back - it's an awful lot of hassle for something that is supposed to be for fun!

Sounds like the bright spark that organised the 'do' could have taken a leaf out of us VVers book and gone to the Old Joint Stock!!

Ah, the Old Joint Stock - very fond memories of that very special day.

A usual work day for me sadly - I'd love to have the day off and potter about at home. Why do weekends always go by so fast?

Kaz, I agree; Edinburgh, whilst very nice, is a very odd place to choose as a central location for a meeting. Hopefully the company is paying for everyone's travel?

Another dull day weather-wise, but not too cold.

I've been busy - apart from boring stuff, have just bought myself a Christmas present Today only Amazon have £30 off the kindle fire HD - thank you, f**kit money
Plenty of the usual Mondayish jobs to do, plus paperwork...

Morning all

We had a lovely day with the family yesterday, the children (including the adults lol) were all super well behaved and dinner was very nice

It's E's birthday today, no real plans but we'll start with a nice leisurely brekkie. If we can be bothered to move a quick trip down the road is next, think he wants to look for a tree.........oh and I'm sure the Christmas CD's are about to come out too........and stay out all month After all that we'll probably have a late tea/early dinner out somewhere.
