morning all,

well I had a bit of a long lie today *Amy has a habit of waking me early at weekends but not today* :P

Had a very busy day yesterday, went to Ikea and got Amy a new wardrobe - she has had a silly little canvas thing and desperately needed a proper wardrobe, got it in dad's car and then mum helped me build it. I had then told Amy we would put the Christmas tree up today but the thought of doing it on a Sunday filled me with dread (I wanted to relax) so got it done last night, still a few bits to do but not much!

Very excited little girl today as she could open her advent calendar :D :D :D

So, today we are off to quickly see a friend of mine who makes silver jewellery, I am having a charm made for my bracelet (that i got for birthday), and it will have Amy's handprint on it (obviously she will make it v small), this is going to be my Christmas present from Amy :D :D :D

Hope everyone has a nice day 8-)

Poll xx :D :D

Morning all. Gorgeous morning here.

I was up bright and early for saying I didn't go to bed until gone 2am. Off out with Millie to blow the (red wine) cobweb away and then home for a soak in the bath.

Am just about to give S a hand clearing out her desk drawers before I go off to my pamper thing. I will meet my friend/neighbour at just after 12pm and walk down the lane to our other friends house.

Not sure how many of us there will be today - there's usually 8 of us. I am the youngest by about 5 years and I love being with this gang of friends. They have lived in the village for ever, have children who are either at uni or have left uni.

There will be lots of lovely food, even more Asti and lime. She lives in the most amazing house - her hallway is bigger than my lounge and dining room put together and has big squashy sofas and a huge open fire in there. We will spend most of our time in the kitchen, which has a log burner. The two beauticians set up in the lounge (with open fire) and one of the bedrooms (with open fire) so the whole house will be toasty warm.

I am planning on having a manicure and my eyebrows done and if time allows I might try to get a massage.

The others often go off to our friends hotel (she is always at pamper day) to have dinner - left overs of the lovely things we all bring and a big lasagne that Mel (the hotel owner) always cooks. Partners usually join us. But I don't usually bother - I'm happy enough to come home and chill out.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Flippin heck - what is it with delivery men??!!

Just been chatting to mum on the phone who was telling me that yesterday she was in her lounge, no TV on, no music, lovely and quiet so NO chance of missing her doorbell..when through her lounge windows she watched a delivery man drive up, walk up her path and then promptly drop a card through her door.

Mum went as quick as she could (which isn't very  ) but he'd driven off!

Why didn't the prat just ring the bell??!!

Now dad has to go to the depot tomorrow and pick up her parcel!!
