Haven't bought any Christmas presents yet but have just bought an amazon deal :D
Been looking at vaccuum cleaners on and off as ours is brilliant but very heavy. It's a Vax pet, and one of the lightning deals was for a much newer - and far lighter - model so I thought I'd best grab it.
It was £95 instead of the usual Amazon price of £161 so quite a big saving :)
Vax give a 6-year guarantee which is a good indication of how reliable they are ;)

Have fun in the kitchen Debih :)

Good morning friends.

It's a lovely morning here - cold but sunny.

What with dog-walking and shopping at Aldi, the morning's nearly gone.

Just had a glance through the Daily Mail - but put it down quickly when I felt my blood pressure rising.

Have a nice day.

We've made slight alterations..no, correct that, I've made slight alterations to today's plans.

It's so lovely and warm we're going for a mooch round town, including into my Moroccan spice shop, then we're going to Rincon Mary's for lunch.
(We call it hairy Mary's...Gawd know why. There is no Mary. There is no hairy!   )

They have a lovely terrace where we can eat and watch the world go by. 8-) 8-)

Back home late afternoon and when Don is moaning/groaning/shouting at the Birmingham City score I shall be doing a Delia in the kitchen with my new curry.

And we're staying in tonight...we will NOT be tempted to stay out! Oh no we won't!  :-P :-P 8-) 8-)

Good afternoon all!
It's lovely and sunny, I've walked Billy whilst John's been out on a bike ride (to test out his Amazon bargain cycle GPS) and the washing's trying to dry outside. Shortly I've got to take Joe to Specsavers to collect his new glasses, I need a few things from the shops too and I also want to try to pop in to see my parents.

John's out tonight with the male neighbours, last night I was out with the girls. We only go to the hotel around the corner. It was quite a night, we went out at 7.30pm and we didn't leave there until 2am  I really do have fabulous neighbours

Afternoon all, quite a bright day here but cold. We were at a funeral this morning (Mr. Osc's earliest golfing friend :( ) and it was freezing standing around outside the church after the mass. I should really do some ironing but I think it can wait until Monday and instead, maybe I will print and review my Christmas card list, it could do with a bit of pruning. Might even write a few! Bacon and cabbage for dinner and then Strictly. Off down to Carlow tomorrow for a competition, will get there for our lunch and might be quite late home. Have a good weekend everyone :)

I remember Gambit! :?

I think I'm more shocked at you having brown hair...shiny or not.

Slightly off tangent but you mentioning game shows and hair has just reminded me of something that I've never forgotten!

A game show with Bobby Davro..Winner Takes All. A lady contestant was introducing herself and Davro said...with a deadpan serious face..did you come here on a motorbike?

The lady answered..with an equally deadpan serious face: no.

Davro..well it looks like it, your hair's a mess!! :o  :o

It was like tumbleweed watching it.

Oh blimey Ally! :o  :D

Ooh Kaz you'd kept that one quiet  Oh yes, I remember ;) :-P
Didn't get there anyway. Bb did get back about 2.30ish, but obviously he wanted a little sit down and a coffee, and I figured most of the stalls would be packing up by half 3 so not really worth it.

Anyway we had a good time :) I've been wanting to get Minnie a lead/collar to stop her pulling, not that she's too bad but it doesn't do me any good. And we needed dog food, so we took her to the pet shop :D
They're really good in there, the girl was happy for us to try various ones on her and have a go with them. Some were far too complicated, bits round her body and other bits round her neck, and then needed a double-ended lead... :?
So we tried the simplest, which is one of these:
http://www.k9centre.co.uk/dog-stuff-pro ... d=HH-XX-PP
Nice and quick to put on, and I was allowed to take Minnie up the road for a trial :D
It does seem to work well, we'll see over the next few days.
Oh and Bb bought her Santa Paws present too ;)

It was still light so we stopped at the park for a walk/run for her :D It's a beautiful park, and even more so at the moment with all the trees at their Autumn best - and plenty of leaves to scuffle through too :D
We popped into M&S to grab a pizza too (the pet shop's nearby) - and it's a Spanish pizza :D Spanish chorizo, Spanish smoked paprika sauce, and Manchego cheese :D
