Morning all. It's peeing it down here.

I've been busy this morning - washing on, drying on, chicken on, about to make soup.

We have to pop out later to deliver some Christmas presents and then home to get ready to go out to a friends for a meal this evening.

absolutely pouring down here but the dog is as keen as ever for her walk... been out at 8am and she is now giving me the "look" to go out again. Good job I was brought up in Manchester and like the rain.

Morning all. Dull and rainy here. My mum is off to my brothers for Christmas today. She is travelling by coach. Poor love, I spoke to her last night and she is all confused and unhappy  I tried to calm her and I know she will be fine, but these wobbles are happening more often now. I really think that living on her own isn't good, but she can't be persuaded to do otherwise yet.
My FiL is supposed to be coming down tomorrow for a week, but he has called and said he doesn't want to drive from Stafford to us in the rain and can't be persuaded to change his mind. We don't want to push him, but it will be a shame for him to spend Christmas on his own. He says he doesn't mind, but it's not right
So...all a bit up in the air at the moment.
Glad you can hear again lissie and have a goodly day everyone if you can :)

Managed to get the last bit of shopping done before the heavy rain started.
Have found we are getting rain coming in onto the sill round one of the windows in the lounge. The window is double glazed in a wooden frame with wooden beading on the outside.
Been to B & Q to get some clear sealant to try and fix it. Cant see where it is coming from as the ceiling is dry and no wet on the actual pane of glass. Only one pane seems to be affected. May be due to which way the wind is blowing.
Had to remove some of the Christmas cards to stop them getting wet.

Afternoon :)
Very glad about your ear Lissie, that must be a big relief! Hope little one is better in time for their trip.

Rain here, floods all around.
Learning my way around this thing, I do love it but some things are easier on a 'proper' computer :D
The pc is still at the shop, he's trying to find a new motherboard for it :?

We're delaying going into town till a bit later, need to get dog food and should be able to park by about 3.
Not very used to this yet so not reading or posting much yet,but I'll be back :P
