I love hotels too. From the lobby to the rooms to the ungents in the bathroom to the bar to the food and especially breakfasts. Especially in the Middle East and North Africa with fresh figs, sheep yoghurt, sweet, sweet pastries and in America and such crispy bacon and the best scrambled eggs ever. Nothing beats The Full English though.

I can feel a hotel urge coming on :)

I hate hotels and even more so since my niece did her work experience in a Quality Inn and I learned what drunken business men do in the bed and the bath. Shall we just say obviously the toilet was beyond their drunken stumblings   Put her off working in one too. I also hate the thought of all those people dribbling on those pillows We always go self catering now and even if it's supplied I take my own bedding.

The other thing I dont like about hotels is being holed up in one room. You have to go out for the day even if its raining and after an evening meal, I like to go back and relax in my lounge with glass of wine, not just have a bedroom

I think there are hotels and there are hotels..................the one where we stayed in Corfu was out of this world (as were the brekkies Fugi :D ) and even better, we are going again this coming May :P Will be making the most of that one, as after this call-out business we might not get another 'good' holiday for a long long time :| :?
