My sofa; it would have been too good to be true.....

Postby meriad » 21 Dec 2012, 20:35

Called DFS today and they have confirmed that said sofa is not expected into the store today as I was told a few days ago, but only on the 4th of Jan.....

As you can imagine I threw a bit of a wobbly and whilst nothing can change the delivery date they have offered to lend me a sofa until the new one arrives (being delivered on Monday morning) and they are crediting me the delivery charge. So whilst not totally happy at least I have somewhere more comfy than the garden chair to sit on.

But I will be speaking to a manager at the store where I purchased the sofa on Monday to find out why the information given to me has been so wrong.

When I ordered my first sofa from them it was exactly as they said; this time however.... sadly not :(

Pain in the posterior - as t'were.

Very annoying that these bods say yes, you can this by a certain date and then can't or won't deliver.

We ordered our sofas over here and they were to the minute :P

Sorry, pressed send before I meant to then - but at least they're lending you something :)

Good that they're lending you a sofa but what about the delivery by Christmas promo they've been ramming down our throats on their TV ads?
I hope the manager has got some good answers to give to you on Monday.

That is so annoying and incredibly frustrating.

But think of all the fun you can have jumping on a sofa that doesn't belong to you. You can have trampoline competitions on Christmas Day.

:P :P :P :P
