Hi :D

Nellie..my new French friend.. is, over the festive period, going to visit her mum who lives in Switzerland. :D

I asked where she lived and it's Villeneuve, which is near Montreux, and I just wondered whereabouts you were when you lived there. :) :)

Oh that looks beautiful Lozz. 8-) 8-)

Nellie's mum is German. :D

Nellie herself was born and schooled till her teens in Germany, then moved to France for many years.

She then moved with her husband who is a (retired) heart surgeon to South America hence they learnt fluent Spanish.

Her husband is half Japanese, half German and speaks 6 languages. :o

Nellie speaks 5. :o

And speaks them excellently!

I know what you mean Lozz..I always think the Dutch, French and German somehow just seem to find learning other languages easier and take it in their stride.

Funny how I didn't like learning 'forrin' stuff at school but have really got into it as I've got older.

Wish I could say the same about hoovering!
