The cataract treatment works brilliantly nowadays. The 'after' is often so much better than the 'before' that certain specs might not be needed.

His eye got the equivalent of an advanced aerobics class today so he's not doing much.

It is indeed really good news, the 15-year-old Chinese surgeon was smiling and nodding as he checked it all
It has sunk in over the past couple of months that this was actually a great big repair job, with only a chance of success, so we are hugely grateful at the job that was done.
And yes he now needs a cataract op, but will end up with better vision than he's probably ever had in his life

Of course just now as far as he's concerned what he has is blurry edges and no improvement till the cataract op, so day-to-day it's a bit hard. But he does know it's all good really
