Paul Hollywood. Who? Made some great mince pies on the GBBO Christmas Special the other night. They really did look yummy, full to the brim with mincemeat, apples and Clementines - or was it apricots - but anyway, they looked good enough to eat. :D

You can make it with Soft Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream and a jar of mincemeat. Mix together and put it back in the freezer.

You see Ally, to know about all these wondrous food delights you actually have to Go Food Shopping!

Can you shop online for home delivery as that's much more fun than going food shopping but no trawling round a crowded supermarket, simply browsing through the food aisles and clicking on luscious things to eat and they arrive on your doorstep.

I never go supermarket food shopping now, only buy special foody things in the Farm Shop and that meant getting over the trauma of seeing the peaceful sheep and chickens running free and grazing on the way in as I have lamb chops and a fresh chicken on my list. I got over that though

I always used Tescos and loved them as well but Sainsbury's offered a one hour delivery slot rather than the two hour slot Tesco offered so I changed over. The farm shop very near me sells their own reared pork, the farm next door's beef, lamb and chicken and all the offal that goes with it so it is cheaper than the high street butcher. They have a chef and he makes pies and fresh ready meals, biscuits and cakes, their own cured bacon and sausages. They grow their own vegetables and the expensive things they sell are the artisan produce like jams, mustards, cheeses.

I'm going there on Sunday morning for last minute bits. Wonder if they make their own mince pies?
