Not impressed 2

Postby Nanna » 19 Nov 2013, 18:20

Just had Just Cook roast in a bag (lamb) from Sainsburys. It was absolutely dreadful! 95% fat or sinew. £5.50 in the recycling bin. Hubby said it was the worst meal he's had in years. I always try out new meat products but, in future, I'll stick to tried and tested. DO NOT BUY this.

Oh nooo how horrible! :( I'd contemplated buying these too - so definitely won't bother now :(

Yuk. I can't say I have ever tried them but have looked at the minted lamb ones and thought about it.

At least Sainsburys have responded to you Nanna. Let us know how you get on with them.

Good of them for the quick result Nanna :)
But what a shame, Sainsburys stuff is usually good - let's hope it's pulled from the shelves too.
It does make life so much easier doesn't it, not exactly a ready-meal but something ready-prepared.

Glad you warned us Nanna.

We are heading for Sainsburys tomorrow, and meat is on our shopping list.

Sadly I had a similar experience with one of those rolled stuffed four meat joints. Don't know what they are called. Sloppy
result from Aldi and Actually quite tasteless....I did not complain.. (Unusual for me ;) ;) :) ) should have done so.
