Can you remember I was upset and livid about mum's shoddy treatment at a Travel Lodge a few months ago?

I sent an email of complaint, and tbh didn't expect to hear anything more.

Yes it's taken a while but mum's just texted me and has had a massive bouquet of flowers..and a vase! delivered. AND a box of chocolates.

I've just checked my emails and lo and behold there is a very grovelling apology assuring me the young girl that had treated mum so badly had been reprimanded and 'measures have been taken to ensure nothing like this will happen again.'

I'm glad I complained!

I have found that it does pay to complain, providing you do so in a business-like manner.

If it's really serious, I always go to the top of the organisation, such as the MD.
