Kaz, thinking about you setting off alarms, the first time I took Joe out in his pram I set off alarms everywhere that I went and it turned out that Mothercare had left the security tag on the frame of the pram  I was in Walsall though so luckily was able to pop into Mothercare there, explain the situation and they removed the tag.

Oh berlimey Kaz  I just had time to read the first line earlier, than had to rush and sort something out and have been worried all this time

Glad it wasn't as serious as I first thought - bluddy annoying though

And sorry, but I did laugh at the Waterstones thing - have done similar

Aw thank you for worrying (((((x))))))

It was a really daft thing, in Waterstones, but the sort of thing I seem to excel at

Thanks Saundra, it should arrive in a few days. My main worry is the eBay item I'm bidding on - it's a Swarovski crystal polar bear for my MIL - as I'll need to pay for it by PayPal, and the bidding ends on Saturday :?

That poor man in the book shop  He looked so confused

Hopefully your card will arrive by tomorrow. I'd hate you to miss out on your bid :(

Thanks Loz, me too! My MIL loves polar bears, and she loves crystal too so this would be the ideal pressie for her! xxxxx

Kaz, maybe what you could do is apply for a second credit card with a very low limit and use only that for any online transactions going forward. And then make sure the bank declines the card if the limit is exceeded. That way you other 'bigger' card won't be open for hacking as they usually get the details from online purchases.

Kaz, if you win the auction just drop a message to the seller explaining what happened and that you'll pay as soon as you receive your new card, chances are your card will be with you anyway before Saturday.
