My "get annoyed with the car" winter season has

Postby meriad » 13 Nov 2013, 12:54

started..... This morning my doors were frozen shut again. It's not the lock itself, the button pops up but it apparently is that the actual mechanism inside the door is dirty and when it gets really cold it doesn't actually turn properly to unlock the door.

I'm so very annoyed with myself because it really is my own fault; I had all summer to get this sorted and didn't

so now I'm off to a friends on Saturday to see if we can get it sorted.... fingers crossed

Car is parked on the road so I cannot leave it unlocked sadly (although I wonder what the insurance payout would be... Ummmmmm  )

Unfortunately finances don't allow for either a garage or new car at the moment (and they probably both cost the same), but I am trying to figure out a way to do the new car thing next year. Which is a pity as my car in every other way is just fine and I love it - it's a 2002 Seat Ibiza and only has 65000 miles on the clock so really low for that age and it's generally a perfect run around for what I need
