Posting a reply

You may have noticed that my postings lately tend to be on the short side.

This is because of an ocasional problem I am experiencing since I've had my new laptop with Windows 7.

I prefer to use a cordless mouse rather than the touch pad. Sometimes, when typing a message, if I happen to
move the mouse quickly sideways, the screen goes blank. Moving the mouse back again sometimes restores the
message I'm typing, but not always. I then find I have left the website and lost all that I had typed.

I could, of course, type out a long message on Windows Office, and then copy and paste it here, but that seems
an odd way of doing it.

Any suggestions ?

Hmmm, I started pasting in Office for a while because of issues with my trackpad.

Does your mouse have side buttons? Are you clicking them? If it does, one of them could be the back button. I usually disable them.

Other than that, not much help, get another mouse which is easier to handle? Try Ctrl-Z when you lose the text (it's the universal undo button).

I have always used a simple text editor - notepad, Jarte or similar - to compose and sort out my posts, then I do C&P.

I started doing it when I got my first laptop because of all the problems I faced.
