Di that's a lovely story :D

Ria never mind the dogs - I'm more worried now about who'll be top dog - me or Mick? ;)

It might well be stress, maybe a plug in would help. I'll look into that, and seriously consider all the other suggestions too :)

Thanks for the compliments Ria and Shell, Fraggle is adorable apart from the probs mentioned, so there was never any question of giving up on him, he's had enough too-ing and fro-ing in his little life, poor lad :( I'll be sure to give them the fusses, Fraggs likes a belly scratch :D

Thanks everyone :) :) :)

I'm quite sure it will get sorted out Kaz, there have been some really sensible suggestions here :)
Personally I'd go with using the opportunity to have them both sleep downstairs, I reckon they'd be fine after a day or two if that.

Btw, you said about lack of space but Minnie's 'bed' is just one of those soft padded mats, it's in front of the fireplace. She does sleep on it sometimes but more often then not on the floor by the door that leads to the hall/stairs ;)
As each of us goes up to bed we stop, stroke her, say goodnight, it's a little ritual that she understands.

The one Minnie has is similar to this
Soft enough that you could roll it up out of the way but also easy to move around.

My dogs weren't allowed upstairs but if he could get up there, Duds favourite place to sleep was on the turn of the stairs, I think he felt he was guarding us upstairs and keeping an eye on downstairs. When Tim worked nights I liked having him there

Di we have one of those cushions already, on the floor in Mick's study. It has the light background on one side and dark on the other. Peps also ahs that exact blanket in her bed, Fraggie has a black one 8-) :D

Shell that's sweet, I'm sure he did feel he was guarding you 8-) 8-)

How funny Shell, Billy frequently lies on the turn in the stairs too where the step is really wide...and he won't flippin' move either when you're trying to get up or downstairs.

I also think they'd both be fine downstairs. I think it'd be easier to get both to sleep there than just the one.

Thanks Loz :) Fingers crossed, no 'accidents' since the fireworks stopped, so I think Ria might have been right on the button there 8-)
