It was almost the end of the world!

My favourite place for a spot of lunch whilst in town (Crimbo shopping ) had run out of toasted teacakes

Apparently the cold rainy weather had caused a run on them this morning - the girl behind the counter said mine wasn't the first disappointed face this lunchtime

I had red lentil and sundried tomato soup instead - probably a lot healthier, but I walked into town in the rain and boy was I looking forward to that teacake

No!!!! Exactly! The soup was really delicious but it wasn't what I fancied

I sulked quietly, all the way through my cryptic crossword

Oh nooo I daren't buy them, I'd scoff the lot! Just the one when I'm out - now and again - makes a real treat
