Afternoon all. Damp and dreary here today too.

Lazy day for me - although I am at work! I didn't come in until 10am. I am on my own so have just pottered about doing bits and pieces. I am now having my lunch before I leave at 1.15 to go to school for a meeting and a catch up with the head (who is back off sick leave -hurrah).

No real plans for this evening. L has guides but she has a lift both ways; S is going to bed extra early as she was so grumpy this morning; Mick is away; I am going to make a sour dough starter and have a soak in the bath.

Good afternoon all - it's damp, cold and miserable here too

I went to the gym and then walked into town to do some shopping. John called in for his lunch as he'd been on a site visit so had to come near here on his way back to work.
I think this afternoon I'm going to get out all of the Christmas presents I've already bought and see what else I need.

It doesn't look like John will be cycling tonight with the weather the way it is so I think we're going to Decathlon to get my 80 year old Dad a pair of ski gloves He's not taken up extreme sports, me and the boys have been wearing them during Winter for a few years now and Dad's always complaining of cold hands so these should do the trick! Might negotiate a mooch around Ikea while we're nearby, John can be easily bought with an Ikea hotdog

I've been food shopping, I think I must be mad 'cos it was teeming down when I went, and still teeming as I came back I borrowed one of B's old jackets with a hood as none of mine have hoods, and I can't manage an umbrella with my trolley Think I need to get myself one....................
