There's not even a proper crossing there on either of the roads Di, and earlier this year the father of a girl who Joe was at junior school with was killed by a lorry whilst trying to cross the A5 100 yards along from the island :(

Keep having a go at him Jo
Trouble is of course you're 'just' a nagging mum, whereas once in a while it did/does help, with Bb being not there every day. Also it was a bit of a shock, since Bb was so forceful about it, S did realise he thought it was really important.
So trivial to them, once they're more than about 10 - but you see it every day don't you, the potential for disaster.

I will Di, and you're right - it's something you see everyday and at that age I think they believe they're pretty invincible. I'm always on at him about using his iPod when he's walking too, another recipe for disaster when crossing roads.

The TV saga rumbles on but thank goodness we took out an extended warranty!
It was taken away 2 weeks ago.
John called last Monday and it was being assessed for the fault. They'd call him back by the end of the day. They didn't so he called on Tuesday. The first test had shown no fault so it was on an extended test but it was quite possibly just a fault with the remote control so they'd ordered a new one. He heard no more so we assumed they were waiting for the remote to arrive.
He's just called again and the main board is faulty and they're waiting to hear from the warranty department to see if it has to be replaced or if the TV is going to be written off.

I'm just glad it's getting sorted Saundra, it's only just over a year old and was from Comet so we wouldn't have had any comeback on the sale of goods act if we hadn't taken the extended warranty. We're not without a TV though, my Dad gave us his 3 year old one when he bought a new one in the Summer ;)

It has, but the warranty is through a different company. If we hadn't had the warranty our only course of action would've been the sale of goods act but with Comet no longer being around there would've been no one to make a claim to so we'd have been stuck with a broken TV :?
