We are having a quiet weekend, just us Becks had a fantastic trip to Exmoor, but needs to stay in Bristol this weekend to write up some work - she'll come next weekend to collect her books. That will be better really as H will be here too and it's Mick's birthday

The sun just came out, we'll wander out later no doubt for a spot of lunch and then see where the day takes us

Another gorgeous morning here will have to go and do some plant watering this morning.

Houseworkery stuff today, as out tomorrow and on Monday we have to go to Bente's and clean her quinta. She's gone back to Norway this morning, a week early, as she said she was fed up with the early dark night Thought it would be worse in Norway myself, but there you go

A quinta (pronounced kinta) is a small farm. It normally means a house with a lot of land, around here. Further north, it means what it's supposed to, if you get my meaning. The estate agents call anything with a bit of land a quinta

Morning dear hearts The sun is shining at the moment, so will take Jasper out for a nice run.

Some gentle sewing for me today and SCD tonight. I'm doing a pulled pork type thing for tea tonight with homemade rolls and coleslaw.

D is off to Portugal tomorrow for the week, so need to get his stuff ironed and packed.

Bright here too, wonder how long it will last though. Be nice if it stays dry for all the firework displays planned for this evening, my children always looked forward to it.

Popping out to get some food shortly, the fridge is bare we need fresh veggies etc.
