Xmas Shopping

I went into Aldi on the way home lunch time. Bought a BIG Turkey. Leg of Lamb. One of those rolled joints that has three different kinds of meat in it. two containers of frozen lamb (forgotten what you call them) in gravy. ah yes Shanks.
Two bottles of Champagne reduced from £19.00 to £12.00.. Not the best but it will do as a toast. Other goodies all put by for Christmas. Big bill but what I spend now I wont worry about at Christmas time We will have a House full, grandchildren parents friends (2) daughters I Love Christmas.

Yes, like you, I like to do as much as possible very early. I absolutely hate the crowds when it gets close to the time. I have also finished my present shopping too - I do it all year round.

Yes, well I will have the last laugh. When I am partying with champagne on Christmas Eve he will be doing his shopping and wrestling with the crowds.

Although I am planning on having a rib of beef for dinner, instead of a bbq

And I'm going to send the grandchildren postcards of Fuseta this year - not that we get any from them

we don't "do" Christmas here either,it will be a roast ,not sure what time of day though.

We'll be having a walk down to the beach, then a coffee and brandy in the coffee in the morning.

We traditionally prepare a "hamper" of delicatessen and festive goodies for my S, who lives alone now, and the purchasing of the treats has been well under way for a few weeks now.

The only problem is to stop "raiding" the basket ourselves .....
