Fine here! No wind just rain, (at the moment) my youngest insists she is coming tomorrow,says the children are packed and will be disappointed if they don't travel up. I have insisted she forget it. But she will do what she wants!
Not worth risking life and limb if the weather is bad. She has been away on a course and says the next break will be Christmas. So? We speak on the telephone we are constantly in touch three four days a week.

Well I hope everyone is ok - we had loads and loads of rain but hardly any wind overnight! The SW seems to have escaped the worst of it, although the Severn Bridge took a bit of a battering I hope B gets away to Exmoor ok, going by the local weather and travel news I think she will

Well it was quite a windy night and I didn't get much sleep, but that's more because my bedroom window faces the patio and the plastic cover on the outside table was flapping about making quite some noise, as was the canopy awning thing I've got. I was also concerned about three old fence panels to my neighbours property, but they survived thankfully

And my train service is now not expected to start services until at least 10am so I most likely will be working from home rather than struggling to and from work with a less than reliable train service. The trains - if they do run - will be limited to a much slower speed than normal and are stopping at every station so what normally would take about 35 minutes is now expected to take over an hour....

The Swale council website said earlier not to put bins out as they
would be blown over and cause obstruction to traffic and the contents
would blow all over the place
I have just checked again and it now says that the lorries have just left
the depot so put the bins out.
The wind is now just as strong as it was a few hours ago so how can they
change their minds as quickly as this
Mine is staying put until the wind dies down even if I have to take the
contents to the tip---better than chasing it all over the road and picking
it up

Lovely and sunny here, a bit of rain overnight....and nothing more than a slight breeze when I got up at 6am.
