morning all,

Well it appeared dry and nice when I woke after 7 but it is now dull and raining :(

Lazy day today, although must pop to a few shops as need a few bits and pieces.

Received my letter from NMC (nursing & midwifery council) yesterday and had already paid my fee, so just a matter of waiting now to be added to the 'register' and I can officially work as a nurse, at the moment I am working as a healthcare assistant (band 2) so I can't wait to get my name on it and be a band 5 - more money!!

Iv just put a washing on and got lots of ironing to do later on, will do that before we have our tea, oh joy!

Have a good day everyone

Morning all, it's bright and sunny and a little breezy!

I'm currently trying to persuade Mr If We Get A Dog I'll Walk It AKA Tom to take Billy out. Sunday mornings are always such a rush around here trying to do jobs and make dinner and I have to fit a Billy walk in too so I thought today that Tom could take some of the pressure off. I've been asking for the last hour now and he's still lounging in his dressing gown, playing on some game system. It's killing me because Billy keeps coming to me and giving me 'the look' :? I'm getting very close to losing my temper.

Joe and I had fun seeing The Feeling last night. Joe did a lot of moaning about having to stand but he enjoyed it in the end. Every tour they play a cover of an old song which everyone knows and can sing along to, in the past we've had Video Killed The Radio Star, You Can Call Me Al, Together In Electric Dreams...that kind of thing. Last night they did a brilliant medley - Daytripper/You Really Got Me/Pinball Wizard/Under Pressure/Another Brick In The Wall/Parklife :D Their shows are always good and there's always a really good humoured audience, it was a small venue - around 500 people - and everyone was having a good time but I didn't see anyone who was drunk.

Have a good day everyone - I'm off to change the board time

Morning all, bright, sunny and very breezy here. Of course I was awake before 7am  but we didn't get up until after 8.30am. Been lounging around mostly ever since breakfast, but need to go to the shops for a few bits. We are going to a Halloween dance this afternoon, costumes finally sorted and makeup bought to turn me into a scary witch and Mr. Osc will be a gangster. It should be good fun. Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you have planned :)

Afternoon all :D
We had a lot of rain in the night, very strong winds all day. I left Bb watching the Grand prix and went into town for some bits of shopping. Despite the wind - and one huge but short downpour - it was actually quite nice.
Not much anyone can do about the wind, it's going to get much stronger still, not a day/night to be out in the Forest.

Osc enjoy your fancy dress dance, Ally enjoy the party, everyone else enjoy the day :)
We have an M&S meal deal for tonight so not much cooking for me either :)

We had a gorgeous roast lunch at The Teddy (aka King Edward VII pub) and lots of wine, then staggered back through the wind and rain ;)

Now feeling well oiled, no need for a drung thread but not too far off it :-P
