My day

Postby miasmum » 17 Dec 2012, 22:33

So as well as the oven with no glass, we now have a leak in the kitchen floor. They are coming to dig it up on Friday. Plus did a Christmas food shop in Sainsbury's to use the nectar points we had acquired through British Gas, only to be told "it is not your designated store, so you can't use your nectar card and Nectar helpline is shut so sorry" They were sorry when we walked out and left them £102 worth of shopping to put back. Tell you what shopping the second time was much quicker and principles paid off as Tesco were £20 cheaper anyway, so who needs nectar points. Hope you enjoyed putting all our stuff back Sainsbury

I was so cross Saundra. I don't often shop at Sainsbury, and we drove past two Tesco's to get there, but I had my points and it seemed a good opportunity to use them

Thanks for your thoughts. The kitchen will be a pain, as we have a ceramic tiled floor, that has been down 11 years and the leak is right in the flipping middle. The tiling goes into the utility room, the hall and the downstairs toilet.

OMG I had no idea there were designated stores for Nectar cards!!!!! I've moved from one store to another this year, with having moved house, and when I spent mine last week there was no problem! Shell that is awful!!!!! :| :|

I don't blame you one bit for walking out - I would have done the same!

I hope your repair problems get sorted before next week ((((((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))))))))))))

Just a thought - Sainsbury's have a Facebook page - I know as I 'liked' it and have their statuses on my Newsfeed. Try 'liking' then post about what happened - you might get something out of it, or at least an apology -plus it shows them up!!! 8-) :( 8-)

Oh blimey Shell...how long is the work going to take in the kitchen?
I don't blame you one bit for walking out! I did know there were designated stores because before now, when I've used a different store, my receipt has indicated that the points balance will be updated in a few days because I'd not used my card at it's home store. I didn't know that you couldn't spend your points at others though.

I never knew about the nectar points thing either. I just assumed you could use them anywhere.

And I feel your pain with the kitchen floor Shell. Fingers crossed it's sorted out quickly.
