The only thing I ever pre-cook for the slow cooker is sausages - but it's very subjective I think, whether you do or don't :D

I think you have definitely had it up too high for too long, and then overcooked - I do 1 hour on high, then about 5 on low and everything is beautiful and tender

Already done and dusted here :D ..... Mrs O has done a couple of lentil soups and is doing spag bol tomorrow night, which reminds me, I need to peel and chop the mushrooms ...

Trust me, it was deserving of the vomiting smilie.... and I put it in because I LOVE cauli and really thought it would work - it doesn't!

I did a piece of beef in mine today. Put it on at 8.30 this morning and turned it off at 7.00 tonight, it was lovely, really tender
