Why did I stress?
Why was I nervous?
Speaking to Conor and telling him how nervous I felt before my first adult classes today the words from my wise old soon to be 21 year old son were....
'mum, you're the teacher. These people are coming to you to learn English. They're probably more nervous than you are.'
Those few words stayed with me....and the 2 classes were absolutely fantastic!
Don came to meet me at the end of the last lesson (he thought I might need a beer..he knows me so well!
) and the 8 students that left my class all came out smiling and telling Michelle (my boss) that they loved the lesson, loved the teacher 
and couldn't wait till their next class on Wednesday!Big sigh.
And Don sat there and heard all this..and told me later he was as proud as punch of me.
I flippin love this job.
