Blackpool

oooh me and Amy are going to Blackpool on Friday for 4 nights, can't wait!

I have only been twice, once as a child and once with Amy's dad a long time ago, so really looking forward to taking Amy - she has never been and is very excited!

Out itinerary involves the Pleasure Beach, going up the Tower and Madame Tussauds :D :D oh and also the Illuminations and going on a tram.

:D :D :D :D

oh I know, its not cheap is it Rodo - I have priced the things we are going to do and its cheaper to buy online before we go, so will be doing that later today I think and have told Amy this is a wee treat, not a big holiday and don't have money to waste which she understands, told her she will get things but not buying junk lol! (she is quite good with things like this and realises we have to be careful with money :) )

Glad you have researched it! Quite a few people I know have had a terrible shock when they got there and found out the prices!

Have a lovely time.

I have promised my g/daughter that, if she manages to get up to visit us (from Canterbury) in the near future we will take her into the Tower. It was being done up last time she was here and so we couldn't get in.

yeah I priced it all before I booked a hotel, didn't want to book and then realise I couldnt afford it, also got a good price for hotel, its not online but a friend had been and text me the phone number and it was very reasonable so am v happy!

Be nice to get away for a few days, the last month has been intense with starting my new job, so be a very welcome switch off with my girl :D

Hope you have a great time :D I went once, many years ago with my first husband, to see the lights, they were very good, but we didn't stay over, it was just a quick visit

Have a lovely time Poll!

We've not been for 6 years, though it wasn't unknown for John and myself to drive up for a Saturday night out when we were in our teens - I'd get out of work, go home and quickly get ready and then we'd drive up to Blackpool, have our night out and then drive home again

It's got so expensive though now for a family day out, especially since they started charging to go onto the Pleasure Beach.

OOOOhhh, I loved Blackpool :D

We lived in the Wirrel, so used to go there a lot, but that was many, many years ago. We'd go every year for the lights and sometimes even stayed. Loved the rides, but that was before they went all scary

And the beach was fantastic :D

Have a lovely time Poll xx
