going on holibobs a day early

Postby debih » 05 Oct 2013, 11:32

My fav holiday of the year is imminent. - our week in the lakes at Gosforth.

I realised the other day that the girls were on an inset day and as I don't work Fridays and muck is self employed I wondered about travelling up earlier.

I checked on the website and saw that the cottage wasn't booked the week before us so rang the owner to see if we could go a day earlier.

She rang back yeaterday and said yes. I said for her to ring me if they get a booking that week as I would hate for them to loose money. She said the cost of the extra night will be nominal, if anything at all.

They are away on holiday that week and their daughter is looking after the cottage . She won't be around til after 5 but a we have stayed before the lady said for us just to arrive anytime after 9am as we know where everything is. Then the daughter will pop in later to check on us.

That extra day will make a huge difference when you're just there for a week.
